Alternate Tags or ALT Tags clearly justify the meaning of the word alternate and are primarily used to name each image of the web page, so that the user can read the name/ objective of each image even if the internet speed slows down the display of images.

In today’s world, the internet speed is quiet handsome and mostly the entire page including it’s images gets downloaded so fast that the visitor hardly becomes aware of these tags. Still Alt Tags play an important role in view of the search engine crawlers.
