Why NOT Open Source

Wordpress, PHP Nuke, Joomla have become the buzzword in today’s web world. The symmetry lies in the open source coding, where anybody can download and modify the script according to his own requirements.

Had you used any such open source, you must appreciate that you can accomplish most of your tasks just by clicking the right option and without any manual change in the codes.

Even if you are to change the code, the codes are well documented and fully structured, so that you can do it easily even without going through the rigmarole of changes in different modules, programs. The unique application of classes have made them easy to change.

A regular surfer can find a lot of add ons with most of them to help you in customization or perform additional tasks, as per your need. Take an example of Wordpress plugin, which has got wide versatility in adding features in your sites. People, who are worried about the look and feel of their sites, get plenty of free templates over the Internet for most of the reputed open source. These templates not only change the look and feel or the design, but also comes up with a lot of customized codes and features. Php Link Directory software is another classic example, which offers innumerable free templates, where some of the templates comes up with magnificent features.
